It has been awhile.....we sure have had a busy summer.  The summer reading program was a big success again, thank you to Jody, staff and all the volunteers.

 

September is "Library Card Sign-Up Month", if you do not have a library card please come in and get one.  If you live in the city limits, your library card is free, live out of the city limits it is $10.00 for a family card for one year.  You must bring in a Photo ID and proof of address.

The library offers many things for your enjoyment.......call or stop in.

 

On Thursday, the 17th of September at 7:00 in the evening Stew Magnuson, author of the book "Raymond Yellow Thunder" will be here at the library.  This is the story of the killing of a Native American in Gordan, NE. in 1972, bringing Russell Means and Dennis Banks, two AIM leaders out to Nebraska and what happens after they get here.

 

PLEASE!!!!!! Eat your lunch or just go get a snack on the 22nd of September at Runza.  Runza gives 15% of its sales to the McCook Public Library for Childrens books every September.....THANK YOU!
