Happy Fall,

 

The Heritage Parade and festivities were wonderful, even if the WIND tried to spoil it. 

   

If you are interested in reading about what went on through the years in McCook, come into the library and read the articles that Linda Hein, Ray Search and Walt Sehnert have written.  The library has many books written about McCook and the surrounding area, some of them are in the reference section and do not check out, but many others do check out.

 

The new budget has been approved so I can start to order again, if anyone has any suggestions come in and fill out a request form and we will consider buying it for the library.

 

We are starting an after school program for the 6th,7th,8th graders, it will be the 2nd Monday of the month starting October 9th, if you are interested in joining come into the library and talk to Jody.

 

We will be celebrating "Children's Book Week", November 11th-17th.  On Saturday the 17th we will have an author here for a full day workshop....In the morning we will have the pre-schoolers - 6th graders divided into two groups and 7th - adults for a writing workshop in the afternoon.  I will keep you posted on more information, this will be a free program.
